'Skeleton' telephone manufactured by L. M. Ericsson.
The legs retain most of their transfered decoration, the nickel plating to the handset cradle (has a slight bend to one side) has wear as would be expected, the handset itself is in good condition with no damage to the mouthpiece or earpiece. The pillar has the National Telephone Service branding applied to one side. The crank is present and intact as is the terminal block.
A British Ericsson catalogue describes this phone modestly : “This exclusive instrument is a masterpiece of unique design and is undoubtedly the handsomest set in the industry”.
We believe this to be the 'AC120' model of this iconic design.
Swedish, circa 1920s
