An original vintage advertising showcard for the Shaw Savill Line

Code: 10414

W: 40.5cm (15.9")H: 60cm (23.6")

An original advertising showcard for the Shaw Savill Line.

This wonderful, original Shaw Savill Line standing 3D die-cut show card is in good 'as found' condition
As can be seen in the photographs the showcard has retained a good depth of colour and has only minimal creasing to the bottom and very small areas of paper loss to the top. It folds out and stands as it should, the tab on the back which holds the semi-circular banner in place appears to have been replaced or repaired at some point. The superb illustrations and stylish lettering are clear and legible and the colour palette is eye-catching. A fantastic rare survivor and in good condition it would make a great addition to any collection.

Shaw, Savill & Albion Line was the trading name of Shaw, Savill and Albion Steamship Company, a British shipping company that operated ships between Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand. The company was created in 1882 by the amalgamation of Shaw, Savill & Company and Albion Line.

Circa 1955
